Cities for People Open Lecture event, Turku Cultural Capital of Europe programme, Finland, 17 March 2011, 10-12pm
Urban structure, interesting city centres and car-independence are pressing issues in the planning of the Finnish cities at the moment. The cities around the world offer us inspiring examples of successful solutions. What king of planning will transform Finnish cities to support 21st century urban living?

The lecture is arranged by the National Council for Architecture, the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Culture and Education. After the lecture there will be an expert workshop on Adaptive Urban Planning led by Louise Grassov, Lucy Bullivant and Outi Kuittinen from Demos Helsinki.
