Lucy curated a one-day, practitioner-led workshop at the Dana Centre at the Science Museum, London, in June 2006, in collaboration with Hannah Redler, Curator of Art Projects at the Museum, with whom she co-chaired the event.

A group of international practitioners - media artists, architects and designers - came together over the course of a day to present, explore and discuss working models of effective multidisciplinary practice. Our aim in staging the event was driven by the desire as curators to achieve a more participatory agenda engaging all parties, including curators, one that fully exploits the potential of a new breed of responsive installations for alternative modes of play, experience and communication. This agenda will influence the ways project briefs are prepared and developed, reflect cultural, technological and social influences on museological thinking and further illuminate the ways in which technologically mediated presentations can best fulfil their public roles.
