A major exhibition of recent work from the Royal College of Art with two hundred examples of furniture, product and graphic design, ceramics and glass, metalwork and jewellery, illustration, textiles and photography. Prototypes, commercial and private commissions, college project work and even a best-seller (i-D magazine, art directed by Moira Bogue) convey the versatility, excellence and sheer diversity of recent British design and communication. The exhibition includes rising stars including Julia Tiesteel, Russell Mills, Paul Cox, Karen Caldicott, David Hiscock, Calum Colvin, as well as internationally known practitioners - furniture designers Floris van den Broecke and Jane Dillon, and ceramicists Janice Tchalenko and Alison Britton. Young design practices including Atkinson Associates, Lovegrove and Brown, the Bureaux and Pirate are represented, as well as recent graduates now working on commissions for clients in the UK, Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the USA.
